Today the Green-Rainbow Party called for Boston City Councilor Chuck Turner's committee chairmanships to be restored and for the FBI bribery charges against Turner to be dropped. The Party also called for an investigation into the targeting practices of the FBI to determine if the powers of the FBI have been used for political ends. The statement released by the Party's incoming co-chairs follows.

John Leonard, a Green-Rainbow Party member in Hingham, initiated an advisory ballot question in a number of South Shore towns supporting the Cape Wind and other future offshore wind projects. The effort has gotten some support from Sustainable Braintree, Sustainable Scituate, Sustainable Hanover, Cohasset Alternative Energy Committee and the Hingham REACH Wind Committee.
