[Tech] Main site is really slow

The main grp site is really slow.  I saw the following error when I
try to login:

Proxy Error

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /manage_main.

Reason: Error reading from remote server

I restarted the zope server and it got better, but does not appear to be 100%.

There seems to be a lot of spam postings at:

StateCom/meetings/2005winter/proposals2005winter

So I deleted a bunch of them, but eventually the server go too slow.

Saw between 32 and 55 connections in TIME_WAIT state at any one time.

the community site seems ok.
