[Tech] Redoing the supporter db ui

I have been researching some of the web frameworks for databases that
we could use on our supporter database.  Developing a db frontend on
Zope/Plone just seems too difficult and there seem to be at least
three interesting tools that are pretty robust:

   Ruby on Rails (http://www.rubyonrails.org/),
   Grails (http://grails.codehaus.org/)
   Django (http://www.djangoproject.com/).

Does anyone have any experience with these tools?
