this is ok.

you could also use procmail for the same type of thing, including
system wide spam removal:
http://partmaps.org/era/procmail/links.html#antispam

i'm sure any of these tools can work [sendmail/postfix/spam
assassin/procmail], it's just a matter of configuration and
maintenance. [harder than it sounds] i know postfix can do global
processing on all messages. if you can't figure out how, send me a
note and i'll help.

also, why can't you just save the spam to /dev/null to get rid of it?

does the g-r mail server consult any blacklists of spammers when
making delivery decisions?

since we're *on* one, we might as well consult them ... [note: humor]
