Hi,
I came to the GRP through the Rainbow Coalition Party. Your answer
suggested below is fine (except that the party name was Rainbow
Coalition Party). You might add:

"The Rainbow Coalition has a distinguished history in Massachusetts
politics and was particularly known for its work on social justice
issues (while having a deep commitment to the environment). The Green
Party, of course, is automatically known for its environmental
positions, but also has a deep commitment to social justice. Bringing
the two parties together clearly conveyed this dual commitment. The
Green-Rainbow Party is the official Massachusetts affiliate of the
national Green Party."
