I propose the Green-Rainbow Party endorse the Working Family Agenda of Neighbor to Neighbor Massachusetts. This legislative agenda is in strict coherence with the ten key values of our party.

STOP THE CUTS – RAISE REVENUE

Pass a Large Fair Tax Package to Stop the Cuts
 Raise at least $1 billion in new revenue to stop devastating budget cuts, including closing corporate tax loopholes by including repealing corporate tax breaks



PROGRAMS CRITICAL TO WORKING FAMILIES

HEALTH CARE
Provide Access to Health Care
 Restore and protect MassHealth, including eligibility for 50,000 adults under MassHealth Basic, coverage for dental, eyeglasses, dentures, prosthetics, orthotics, & chiropractic, and the entitlement to coverage under the Childrens' Medical Security Plan

 Pass the Prescription Drug Fair Pricing Act and protect the Senior Pharmacy program

HOUSING
Provide Access to Affordable Housing
 Pass legislation to deny state support for communities that demolish public housing without providing one-for-one replacement of permanently affordable housing

 Protect funding for low-income housing programs and increase the borrowing limit for the Housing Bond Bill

WELFARE
Preserve the Welfare Safety Net
 Provide extensions for people who need more time to complete their education or training and allow 20 hours of education and training to count toward the work requirement
