Convention Review of Bylaws Membership Change
Tuesday May 20, @01:54AM, by Daniel Melnechuk for the State Committee
Subject : Bylaws Change Review and Approval
Summary :
At the March 30th, 2003 state commitee meeting in Worcester at Clark U, the state committee changed the membership bylaws to include Rainbow Coalition registered voters to be members of the party, with a sunset clause good til the end of November 2003. This was to show good faith and open arms to our Rainbow brothers and sisters as they work towards reregistering as Green-Rainbow. At the same time, the state committee also put a sunset clause on GPUSA registered voters as members until November 2003 to prod all GPUSA registered voters to reregister as Green-Rainbow so that our numbers of official registered Green-Rainbow voters with the state will grow.

Finally, the state commitee added that this decision will be reviewed by the convention. It only takes a majority to overturn the bylaws change. So this proposal here is more of a place holder.
