Bylaws section 9
Friday March 08, @02:05PM, by Gil Obler
Subject : Administrative Committee revisions
from the Green-Rainbow Future Committee dept.
Summary :
This bylaws provision expands the purpose and job responsibilities of the 5 regional representatives of the Administrative Committee to include other diversity considerations, geographic diversity being one of them.
It will only need to be considered at the convention if the State Committee does not pass a similar modification in March, or if it defers some specifics within the proposal to the convention.

This proposal attempts to balance four goals:
1) the desire not to increase the size of the
Administrative Committee
2) the desire to retain regional diversity and
representation
3) the desire to increase and ensure other types
of diversity on the Administrative Committee
4) to make diversity goals part of the job
responsibilities of committee members
The correct balance is still being discussed and worked on, so the final form of this proposal is still unclear. I suspect the final balance will need to be struck through friendly amendments, either on the floor of the state committee or the convention.
