Proposals for the State Convention can be submitted, revised, and commented on here. Since the agenda will be set at the March 23rd State Committee meeting, the last day to submit anything here is March 9th.

Green-Rainbow Platform Proposal

This proposal is really a plan on how to proceed with producing a joint detailed and summary platform.

However, we seek the assent of both the State Committee and the State Convention in pursuing and implementing this plan.

This bylaws provision expands the purpose and job responsibilities of the 5 regional representatives of the Administrative Committee to include other diversity considerations, geographic diversity being one of them.

It will only need to be considered at the convention if the State Committee does not pass a similar modification in March, or if it defers some specifics within the proposal to the convention.

This bylaws change adds provisions for the seats to be elected at presidential primaries (2004 and beyond), modifies the procedures for the regional proportional seats, and creates some additional seats for ensuring the diversity of the state committee.

It will only need to be considered at the convention if the State Committee does not pass a similar modification in March, or if it defers some specifics within the proposal to the convention.
