2001 State Convention

In 2001 the Mass. Green Party held two state conventions. The first was on June 3rd and the second was on September 22nd. We have a discussion site that was used for discussing party structure and another that was used for discussing platform changes. Below are some details regarding the conventions.

3 June 2001

The focus of the meeting was a variety of by-law changes so that the party would satify the requirements of Massachusetts's law. The version of the by-laws effective as of this meeting is available in pdf format. We also passed a resolution supporting an effective merger process between the Rainbow Coalition and the Green parties.

In addition, we held elections for the Administrative Committee and interim elections for the regional representative positions.

The focus of this meeting was an overhaul of the party platform. The revised platform is online. Also, Dan Corrigan was elected to Treasurer of the Administrative Committee.
