Presidential Primary outreach
Monday January 14, @12:09AM, by Grace C Ross
Subject : One hour of statecom to do outreach
Summary :
Given the shortness of time, this is the draft of a proposal has not yet been vetted.
The GRP Presidential Primary is an opportunity to create visibility for our party. Most of us are busy and don't find time to contribute even an hour, which would multiply our impact several fold.
As a member of CDLC, I will bring the necessary templates and lists for the following activities. And I welcome people bringing other ideas for a good use of this tiem....
Text :
That we use one hour of the Jan. 27, 2008 statecom meeting to do tasks that will promote the GRP Presidential primary. This time can include the following or additional ideas
1. Revise a standard letter to the edit and post it to your local paper(s) letters-to-the-editor section.
2. Revise and post an email announcement to your email addressbook, listservs you are on, etc.
3. Call some GRP voters in your area.
4. Post something to your local cable station announcing the primary and our candidates.
5. Contact local radio or cable show hosts you know to arrange for a candidate to call in on their next show.
6. Write a check or give on-line to the campaign of your choice.
7. Your idea?
We could show the candidates' campaign videos for entertainment while we work as well if people wish...
