Sunflower Start a Green-Rainbow Local

Can't find a Green-Rainbow Local in your neighborhood?
Please consider starting one!

What is a Green Local?

A Green-Rainbow Local is a group of Green-Rainbow Party members who meet regularly to promote Green-Rainbow issues and politics. There are many kinds of locals. Some are affiliated with high schools, colleges, or universities, some are city/town based, some are regional, and others are interest based (e.g. the Lavender Greens is a local for LGBT people). See the list of all locals.

Where do I start?

If you want to get involved and can't find a local in your area, contact 978 688 2068 or office@green-rainbow.org. We also have two organizing manuals that you can download.

How do I recruit people?

We can give you a list of Green-Rainbows in your town who have previously shown interest in the Green-Rainbow Party and you can also get a list of registered Green-Rainbows from your town hall. You can then contact these people by email or by phone. Not all of them may want to get involved but they will certainly be sympathetic to the Green-Rainbow movement.

The technology committee can provide contact information to supporters who request it. You must be either:

  • registered to vote as Green-Rainbow and want to start a local in your area;
  • an officer of an officially affiliated local of the party.
