We held our last meeting on Sat., Apr. 17, 2004, where we officially changed our name to the Middlesex Organizing Committee. Our focus will be to support our current candidates in Middlesex County. In addition, we hope to lay the foundation for future Green-Rainbow Party campaigns by helping to create city, town, and ward committees. Other ideas, such as point people, GRP speaker's bureau, etc. were also discussed. Minutes and past emails are available on our listserver http://www.green-rainbow.org/mailman/listinfo/cdlc-elections-middle
If you want to get involved, please visit the above link and join our listserver.

MOC meeting location and directions
Thursday May 13, @12:05PM, by Scott Pherson
Hello everyone,
The next meeting of the MOC will be held on Sunday, May 16 from 1-3 PM in Sever 101, Harvard Yard, Harvard University. Food is officially not allowed in classrooms, but I'm sure it will be OK if you bring something to eat as long as we don't leave a mess.
Sever Hall is located right in the middle of Harvard Yard, between Memorial Church and Widener Library. Sever is the brick building with the large arch over the entrance doors. It is directly across the Yard from University Hall, the white building.
Here is a link to section of the campus map with Sever Hall directly in the middle:

Driving
If you need driving directions to Harvard Square, call or email Steve Milder ( smilder@fas.harvard.edu ; 617-493-4642) and let him know where you are coming from, so that he can give you directions. The most likely routes are from the Mass Pike, Route 2, or Soldier's Field Road/Storrow Drive. Also check http://www.mapquest.com for driving directions to Harvard Square. There is a map attached that shows some major roads to reach Harvard Square.
Parking
Parking should be relatively easy to find in the Harvard Square area, since it will be Sunday, so meters will be off, and permit parking areas will be open to all. There is also a garage at the corner of JFK St. and Eliot St. and another one at the Charles Hotel, if you prefer not to park on the street.
By T
By T, just ride the Red Line to Harvard Square (there are also buses from Waltham, Watertown, Somerville, etc. check www.mbta.com for more info). Harvard Yard is directly across the street from the main T exit.
We know of at least 3 Middlesex candidates on the ballot, and how we can support these candidates and prepare for future candidacies will be a major topic of discussion.
See you Sunday!
