The state convention set the candidate recruitment goal of running at least 84 candidates in 2004. With the legislature gutting vital services and expanding corporate welfare, there is no better time to take a stand against business as usual. We need your help now!
If we want to build a future based on justice, democracy, nonviolence and ecology we will need to get Green-Rainbows elected. To get our members elected, we need candidates for both state and local offices.
You should be one of them! If you are interested in running for office and one of the 10,000 Green-Rainbow Party members or a supporter who is not registered in any other party, then please contact the person listed for your region/county, fill out the following form or email us. You can also check out our How To Run Guide
We are also looking for party members to help recruit candidates. If you can help, please contact the person listed for your region/county.

The date by which prospective Green Party presidential candidates may get on our March 2nd primary ballot has passed. We are placing four candidates on our primary ballot. They will appear in the following order:
We will publish statements by the candidates in our Winter/Spring 2004 newsletter and on the web site.
To appear on our presidential primary ballot, prospective Green Party presidential candidates had to follow the requirements outlined in our 2004 Presidential Election Plan (M$ Word, HTML).
Our delegates to the 2004 Green Party National Nominating Convention will be selected according to our 2004 National Presidential Convention Delegate Selection Rules (M$ Word, HTML). Delegates will be allocated to candidates in proportion to the number of votes the candidate received.
Please note that the 2004 National Presidential Convention Delegate Selection Plan must be approved by the state committee and submitted to the Secretary of the Commonwealth by October 1st, 2003 if we wish to have a Presidential primary. Holding a Presidential primary in no way requires the national party to run or not run a Presidential candidate in the general election.
